SOLAR POWERED
Since 2025

Every day, we have the sun to thank—for its light, energy, and warmth. Life as we know it, in all its three dimensions, exists because of our precise distance from the sun. And yet, solar rituals remind us of a fourth dimension: time—marked through the seasons and cycles of birth, life, death, and rebirth.

Since the Neolithic era (around 10,000 BC), ancient cultures around the world have honored the sun’s cycles with ceremonies, monuments, and myths that aligned with shifting agricultural seasons—from planting to harvest.

Divinities of Light began as a seed—literally and metaphorically—planted during the 2020 quarantine in Hollywood, CA. To my surprise, the sunflowers grew twelve feet tall. Over four months, I witnessed a majestic unfolding: birth, life, death, and rebirth. Each year since, this ritual has evolved, taking on new layers of meaning through mythological, historical, and astronomical perspectives.

In Norse tradition, the sun is personified as Sol, or Sunna—a radiant goddess who rides a chariot across the sky, drawn by celestial horses and chased endlessly by a great wolf. Her journey brings light to the world each day.

At the peak of Solar Maximum 25, the offerings shared here were conceived and created. Consider them supercharged—manifested during a time of heightened solar activity, geomagnetic storms, coronal mass ejections, and northern lights.

If you feel called to cast your own solar rituals, the devotional items and ritual instructions you’ll find here are imbued with love and light—intended to guide and support your practice. More to come very soon!
